France
Loading place: Niort, France
Discharging place: Brasov, Romania

Project Highlights: The project scope was the delivery of 8 milk tanks from Niort, France to a new built factory in Brasov, Romania. Each tank was 4 meter high, 4.20 meter wide and 9 meter long, weighing 15 tons. Project was done in the time box set by our client, while the transport of each tank was carefully executed.
Ukraine
Ukraine is the second largest country in Eastern Europe. Despite its recent turmoil, Ukraine’s long-term economic prospects make this country still a very important player in heavy industry and a hub for many industrial logistics projects.

Project Highlights: The project scope was the transport of a drilling rig from factory in Lvov, Ukraine to Constanta. The packing list demanded 36 special trailers for OOG cargo and 10 FTL trucks with auxiliary components. Sea vessel was waiting in port to pick up the cargo, therefore the time frame required a flexible and rapid approach of the project.
Poland
Poland is increasingly acknowledged as a major player within the European Union. In the last several years, Poland has become the fastest growing economy in the EU and now has the largest economy in Central Europe. In particular, machine building, iron and steel, mining, shipbuilding are among the major industries in Poland. Therefore, S H L team is expanding its operations towards Poland where now many infrastructure projects are in progress.

Project Highlights: The project scope was the transporting of a drilling rig with a packing list that required 40 special trailers and another 40 FTL trucks. This project had two major challenges that SHL team needed to address. First were the extreme weather conditions. Project was executed in December with low temperatures and heavy snow. Roads were closed for three days and we had to make up for the time lost as the time box was very strict. The second challenge was the difficult terrain with poor access roads to both loading and discharging places. However the hard conditions of this project demanded extreme focus and dedication. Transparency and excellent collaboration between our project team and client, made possible the completion of transports in the initial time frame required.
Belgium
Belgium is a crossroads of global supply chains. Its location in the heart of Europe, its multimodal access and maritime accessibility make its biggest port, Antwerp a world port that seamlessly connects businesses all around the globe. Every week we load or discharge cargo from all over Europe in Antwerp, that is why Belgium is to S H L one of the most important project hub.

Project Highlights: The project scope was to deliver in Antwerp port 13 transport lots of 10 units each. Each transport lot required 10 out of gauge trucks. With an agile mindset, always ready to face last minute changes, our project team delivered the requested transport units with precision. Based on industry standard best practices, our transport services, together with the help of TAPM were able to solve fast any problems that occurred during transport projects that could affect the estimated time of arrival.
Spain
The economy of Spain is the 5th largest in Europe. Until 2008 it had been regarded as one of the most dynamic within the EU, attracting significant amounts of foreign investment. New factories, infrastructure and other heavy industry related projects, made Spain very interesting for the logistic industry and Schnell Heavy Logistics.

Project Highlights: The projects scope was to move heavy factory parts from Hernani, Spain to Zatec, Czech Republic. Cargo weight varied from 25 tons to 55 tons, while the advising time was very short. Due to lengthy approval procedures in France, our team came with the solution to load the convoy on a ferry and ship it from San Sebastian to Antwerp. In this project our team draw on S H L industry knowledge and with a collaborative approach we proved in an agile manner our delivery capabilities.
Hungary
Hungary’s favorable geographical position in Europe has led to its emergence as a potential logistics and production hub in Europe. Moreover, its strategic position gives the country direct access to the entire emerging market region of Eastern Europe as well as the Balkans. Many of our clients are present here, that is why our industrial logistics operations have been extended to this country.

Project Highlights: Schnell Heavy Logistics was nominated to transport 3 power transformers units to Estonia. The weight of the transformers ranged from 45 tons to 55 tons. The special trailers used in transportation of these transformers was part of our own equipments. The transport was done by road to destination. Our teams challenge was to stay in the G Force indicators and always keep an eye on the accelerometer for the safety of the transformer components. Project was successfully completed, all the clients demands were strictly met.

Project Highlights: The project scope was to pick up 5 over dimensional units for the Thermal Power Plant Bitola. SHL placed 5 OOG trucks, while the cargo was traveling with ATA Carnet. The challenge of a difficult terrain through the mountains of ex Yugoslavian countries and the obstacle of a loaded bureaucracy in the Road Administration offices were successfully addressed by our transport team working together with our suppliers.
Russia
A vast nation replete with diversities, Russia geographically spans the breadth of the two continents of Asia and Europe. The country has been the eighth-largest in the world. Russia has an abundance of natural resources that lead to a rich industry specter. That is why many investments were made and many other are pending, opening a gate of opportunities for the logistics industry. Schnell Heavy Logistics has a vast experience with many projects completed in Russia, ranking the ex soviet Union among the most important destinations for SHL clients.

Project Highlights: The project scope was the delivery of 20 milk tanks to a new
Dairy factory built near Belgorod. Transports were completed in 1 lot. The biggest challenge the convoy faced was the waiting of the OOG trucks in the UA/RUS border due to some infringements on the import regulations. However, our team on the ground patiently waited and delivered the components for the dairy factory.

Project Highlights: Project scope was to deliver carefully 100 tons of long pipes to Moscow, Region in Russia. The length of the pipes was 22 meters, while the route suggested by client was via Belarus. The major challenge in this project was to handle carefully the pipes during transport due to their fragility. However, our Russia & CIS team did an excellent job rising up to the expectations.

Industry: Mining
Project Highlights: S H L team was awarded the logistic contract for the delivery of the plate rolling mill for the Magnitogorks Metallurgical combine (MMK). MMK is one of Russia’s leading steel producers. The roll stand delivered is one of the world’s most powerful mills. The project scope was split in two directions OOG and FTL. Total trucks delivered was 165(one hundred and sixt-five), both oversized and standard. The project took place during winter. Despite the heavy snow and extreme low temperatures, all the trucks reached the destination according to our transport plan. TAPM helped us work out all the transit customs and weather problems in real time, closely working with our client and strengthening our partnership overcoming all the project challenges together.
